    Imagine waking up on a chilly winter morning and walking into your bathroom on comfortably warm tile. With radiant heat, it’s possible. If you are planning a bathroom remodel, consider a custom system equipped with a programmable thermostat that turns heat on at a preset time to guarantee a comfortable floor underfoot. Almost any surface in a bathroom can be warmed with radiant heat, from floors to tub surrounds to saunas and spas. You can even install an element to defog your mirrors.

    You probably use your bathroom’s exhaust fan while you shower, but did you know it’s important to let it run after you’re finished? Apart from fogging up your mirror, residual steam and mist created by showers and baths can cause damage to bathrooms over the long term. Lingering moisture allows mold and mildew to grow on tiles and grout as well as on sealants around the tub, sink and toilet.

    With all the trends out there which one is right for you and your family, there are trends for colors, styles, patterns, but stepping back really which choices are right for you? I can tell you that trends are just that trends they come and they go like the summer rain. If you get caught up in details that are unique to styling elements and not your personal taste than you will have fallen into the trend trap. You want to make decisions that will stand the test of time like not designing a room with only one color tone, rather take a color like gray and add some brown tones and a splash of teal or Aqua accents and maybe select aged brass fixtures instead of brushed nickel. Whatever your taste it is important to partner with a designer that gets your creative process and can make your vision into reality.

    Sometimes today with all of the choices to many people designing their kitchens get caught up in over thinking how to navigate in and around their kitchen space. When remodeling your kitchen, there are four main factors to consider;

    1. Does my current kitchen layout work best for me
    2. What options are there for accessories in the cabinetry that could best help better the functionality
    3. Am I working with a Designer that can see my vision or better yet help me put my thoughts into a functional design
    4. Sometimes the simplest design is the most functional
